The content-free parade continues! This is a little game that 8elements posted and I responded to, so she's insisting I post as well. Also, she associates me with Magneto. Words cannot express how completely excellent I find that.

Anyway. Here's the game:

You comment here, and I will:
1. Tell you why I friended you.

UNRELATED BONUS MATERIAL: Did you know that the ADF has a Vice-Archdruid? You know, not quite Arch- material. That's way funnier to me than it probably ought to be.

EDIT: This whole thing might take a while. Poetry, as you probably know if you've EVER EFFING MET ME, is not a thing that I do easily or well. It doesn't quite make blood spring from my forehead, but pretty close. Still, the challenge is compelling. So post, I'll get to you, but not necessarily today.

1. I initially friended you for your commentary on the Greek gods. I've come to really enjoy your writing, and the conversations you're having on the journal.

2. I associate you with the phrase "Don't click the internet!". This may be because that's often what I say after clicking links in your journal. :)

3. I like the way you can translate something complex and abstract into something clear, readable, and concrete. I also like your affection for odd music videos (enjoyed the Dionysus selection you harvested yesterday).

5. Mostly you remind me of Dionysus. But I'm thinking that probably doesn't count. And other than that, you mostly remind me of historical people. So I don't know.

6. When you went to Kemetic Orthodoxy for a time, what was it about that faith that appealed to you? ALSO: A long time ago you talked about writing an epic about the Olympians and US history. In it you mentioned the story of how the spirit of the Mississippi fell in love with Jeff Buckley's voice and drowned him. Are you ever going to write that? And if you aren't going to write it, would you mind if I wrote something on a similar theme (not the whole thing, just that bit)?

5. I LOVE me some Celadon Toadstool. Thank you! (Wondering if ursulav will get back to the story of her and Sings-to-Trees.

6. It was a calm and flowing cessation. Not sudden or scarring or reactionary. The flip answer would be to say that I started thinking, but really that's not it either. There are still some elements that resonate with me: the feast days of saints, for example. My personal belief system just gradually changed to a point where I couldn't cling to the catechism anymore.

7. I wish I could remember, but I found it before I remembered my manners and began crediting properly. I certainly did not create it. Perhaps from the LJ community "userpicks"? (I'm not coding it in case I've spelled it wrong...at least it won't show up as an error in my reply here.)

I write short stories, locations, characters, etc. for Laughing Pan. (Or I did. Time keeps on tickin' tickin' tickin' into the fuuuuuturrrre...)

Yup. Almost all of my icons are either me, my living spaces (in the past) or my work. The notable exceptions are Marrus's body paint on me, the cartoon, the cuff moving icon thingie
and that's it, I think. ~Needs to check, but feels secure in that.~
