Appeasing 8elements

The content-free parade continues! This is a little game that 8elements posted and I responded to, so she's insisting I post as well. Also, she associates me with Magneto. Words cannot express how completely excellent I find that.

Anyway. Here's the game:

You comment here, and I will:
1. Tell you why I friended you.
2. Associate you with something - a song, a color, a photo, etc.
3. Tell you something I like about you.
4. Write you a short poem (probably) (you should be aware that it will probably be rude.)
5. Associate you with a character.
6. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
7. Make some sort of commentary about your LJ icons.

UNRELATED BONUS MATERIAL: Did you know that the ADF has a Vice-Archdruid? You know, not quite Arch- material. That's way funnier to me than it probably ought to be.

EDIT: This whole thing might take a while. Poetry, as you probably know if you've EVER EFFING MET ME, is not a thing that I do easily or well. It doesn't quite make blood spring from my forehead, but pretty close. Still, the challenge is compelling. So post, I'll get to you, but not necessarily today.

Eh, I missed out on tomorrow. How about today?

1. I friended you because you impress the hell out of me. Also, you seem like my sort of people.

2. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - "Are You the One That I've Been Waiting For?" (This strikes me as your theme song. Maybe it's not, but that's the impression that I get.)

3. I like the way you look beneath things to find the possible stories. You seem to have the ability to shake an adventure out of everything, and I like that. Also, of course, you're a brilliant writer and you have an excellent eye for composition and color.

5. Mostly I associate you with your own characters. Other than that, you're all comic book heroes -- you're a little John Constantine, a little Nightcrawler, a little John Hartigan, maybe?

5.I wish I was more of a Constantine than a Kurt Wagner lately, but I dig the comparison. Not sure who John Hartigan is off the top of my head.

7.Nope, nothing more than a wonderful old sci-fi book cover I found on the web and an expression of my sincere wish to engage in telepathically induced romantic liasons, which at times I believe the internet to be a very clumsy frontier version of said liasons.

1. I dunno. I feel like a mutant half the time, so maybe.

5. Hartigan is a cop in Sin City -- he's in the That Yellow Bastard storyline, battered hero and protector of strippers. He's one of the better examples of the paladin ethic in modern literature, in my humble opinion, but without being a jackass. Wanders around saying things like "Yeah, and after I pull off that miracle, maybe I'll go punch out God." Bruce Willis played him in the film.

Kinda. After I got struck with the virus my friend was unable to do much with it, so I managed to open it in safemode and system restore it (w/out losing my photo collection and plays). But in the process i've lost a good chunk of memory and my wi-fi (though pirated to begin with) is acting a wonky.
