Date: 2006-01-17 09:35 am (UTC)My library has a book about the history of prostitution. I flipped through it a couple of times when I used to work as a page, shelving and organizing the nonfiction. Just curious, what's your position on the aforementioned Oldest Profession? Pro, con, or mixed feelings?

Date: 2006-01-19 01:19 am (UTC)Maybe you can help me out...I'm trying to remember the name of another film I caught on IFC years ago, that I really want to see again...it was about a gay couple, 1 american, 1 asian, and the asian guy's parents came to stay, and didn't know he was gay...so they did a convenience marriage with an asian immigrant woman, to satisfy his parents that he was following their traditional ways, and get her a green card/citizenship....
I've been searching for it on amazon for about a month now, and haven't run across it yet...thanks!
