Fay Wray, who starred alongside "the tallest, darkest leading man in Hollywood", passed away today at the age of 96. The world has a hole in it, in the shape of a tiny blonde monster love interest.

Just looking over my to-read list. The new George R.R. Martin, A Feast for Crows will be out soon, as will the last of the Legends of Dune series, The Battle of Corrin. Mmmmm. Crunch crunch. If I can get hold of those two, I think I can hold out for the big one, The Dark Tower, at the end of September.

Of course, after Roland gets to the Tower, I don't know what I'm going to do with my life. But that's a bridge to cross when I get there.

The link to 213 Things Skippy Is No Longer Allowed to Do in the US Army that I was using as part of my email signature has been going to a dead page for possibly weeks now. Bastardy.

Fortunately, the Internet is full of redundancy. And Skippy has his own site, apparently. Well done, Skippy.

I'm embarrassed to say this, but I started my winter holiday shopping today. Maybe if I start in the middle of the freaking year, I can get something for everybody I want to get stuff for. But maybe not.
