Medical fun and games
Aug. 11th, 2004 09:02 amGot an appointment for my "yearly" thyroid profile, finally. Had to wait until I was going to have another paycheck, but hey, at least I got it scheduled. It's going to be off all to hell, since I haven't had any of my pills since, oh, I dunno, last month?
zylch was kind enough to give me some of hers, but she takes about 60% of the dose I do, and in any case, I haven't had any of those for a while either. I've got four left, and am trying to work out what configuration I should best take them in between now and my test on Monday. My overall concentrations are so low now that it probably won't matter. Oh well.
For more fun and games, I get my Ortho-evra prescription at the Eckerd's down the road, and I need a refill of that, too. So I go to the website to order a refill, and eckerd.com now redirects to a CVS pharmacy site - apparently Eckerd has been bought out. The site assures me that Eckerd Rxs will transfer right over, no problem. So I do the refill thing, and I'm not really paying attention, but I'm pretty sure that the screen says that I can pick up my Rx at the CVS in St. Petersburg, FL. *blink* When I get the order confirmation, yep, sure enough - St. Petersburg. Apparently the store number for the Eckerd down the road is the same as the store number for the CVS down there. So I call the customer service line. The woman at the other end assures me that it won't go through, since I only have an Eckerd account, and not a CVS account. But I'm not sure. I bet you anything that when I call the Eckerd's they'll tell me they can't refill that Rx because it's already been filled this month or something.
