Yeah, in fact, that's the building we're currently looking at. I printed the map originally on Saturday, so that we could go by the building and take a look at it. And then, periodically, the printer just spits out another one. I am baffled by this.
Unplug the printer and find out which computer is sending the print job when it tells you the printer is offline. Then you can delete the job and hopefully it'll go away.
Ha. See, on Saturday morning, I printed this map from my computer. So I know that's where it's coming from, but it doesn't exist as a job in my queue anywhere that I can see.
sorry about that. i knew there was something wrong with the networking on my printer. i keep thinking i'm going to head over to belmont one of these days, but i keep not being able to print the map. yet i persist.
Yeah, it's an old Masonic Hall. The rest of the story is that my church is looking at purchasing that building. So I went to see it on Sunday, which required printing a map to the place. Apparently, my printer liked that map so much that it wants to make a new one every morning now. *shrug*
Apparently some part of the system doesn't think that document was ever successfully printed. Therefore it's still in the queue, and periodically gets retried. That would also explain why it won't print anything else; new jobs just get in line behind the stuck one.
You can look at the Windows print queue by going to "Printers and Faxes" on the Start Menu, and double-clicking this printer. If the document is listed there, delete it from the list.
I presume you've tried power cycling the printer and computer? If not, try that next.
All good, except that I'm running Ubuntu with KDE, and I've pulled up the CUPS print queue, and it doesn't appear anywhere. I did cycle the printer this morning, but have been resisting the reboot of the PC.
