I was shopping at Sam's yesterday and noticed they had the Caribou bars, two flavors...vanilla latte and something else. I ended up not getting them, but now I'm reconsidering, so they are really good?

What are you doing with the broken emu shells?

Number one thing I miss about memphis/cordova- Bombay House. Oh... for just a mouthful of anything from their buffet...even the tandori chicken

DragonCon sounds fun, some year when I'm not convinced if I leave my house will blow down trapping my family who wouldn't be smart enough to leave if I didn't insist (totally wrong, they would leave, it's just this weirdness that has attacked me since Katrina, because I need a new phobia) I am so going/coming to it.

The broken shells are for me -- I want to try my hand at carving emu shells, but I figure there's no sense in ruining several whole shells while I just learn how to use the tools... so we're getting some broken shell pieces for me to stab at and practice on without ruining anything. Then later I can get some whole shells and try the real deal.

That is so interesting. Happy carving!

The Caribou bars come in vanilla and something with chocolate. The first one only seemed iffy to me, but since then, they have seemed really tasty. So, either I got a bad one first thing out of the gate, or they make them with HEROIN. You are free to decide for yourself :)

Also, holy crap, DragonCon. From where you're at, it'd only be a 7- or 8-hour drive, too. You could take Jim and the boys with you, even...

I don't know about the hubster unit, but the sons would be crazy about it.

You could send Jim off to do something boring for a weekend, then. :)

I could leave him here and not pester him to play with me when he is trying to do house mr. fixit stuff, believe me, for him, it would be a vacation- of sorts.

Maybe the judge can get a job as a short-order cook?

Seriously OMG WTF ::cries::

That is all.

Having seen the 'Monster' picture...

I can honestly say that I have no F*ing idea what that creature is. Seems vaugely cat-like, but that may be just the angle of the picture. The fluffy tail does make me wonder, as does the oddly textured fur. the other thing that seems strange is that it is all black. There are wolves and a few breeds of dog will an all black coat, but I couldn't say what raped what to make that. Damn.

Wolf + Keeshond + Bulldog. I have no idea, either.

You know what it looks like? You know what it really, really looks like?

Greebo raped a timber wolf, and she had pup... er, kit... er, that thing.

No, it's all about werewolf. Except, small, so perhaps it's the middle form of a three-year-old?

Sad, but these things happen. Hmm. That gives me an idea. A horribly tragic idea.

Ok, maybe not Oy specifically, but a Billy Bumbler I've no doubt. It is an article from Maine.

I am so totally going! I got the approved day off from school without pay but I knew that. My Principal was not going to allow it (some district policy stuff) but I said no pay he said OK.

Approved - Older men with ponytails.

I hope I qualify for this!

I am pleased to hear it. Also, yes, technically, you are older than me, so you qualify.

For the record

Just to be absolutely clear: I will be at Dragon*Con this year. Have no doubts. C&M have been thoroughly growled at for making their opinions known so close to 'go' time. It all came down to their timing. Had they said something two of three months ago it probably wouldn't have been nearly that big of a deal.

Oh well, they'll cope. In the meantime it'll be oggling nekkid fangirls, Bärenjäger, and awesome fellowship for me. Well deserved, all three.

Sorry if I'd panicked you though. I really was just trying to vent.
