List of the week
Aug. 18th, 2006 11:57 amApproved Of:
- The Friday Organic Farmer's Market withing walking distance of my office.
- The emu guy at said Farmer's Market bringing me broken shells next week.
- Emu guys, in general.
- Caribou Coffee Vanilla Latte Bars.
- Waste products that look like deities.
- Payday Fridays.
- Richard Cheese, and other artists that make cover songs in genres wildly inappropriate to the original material.
- DragonCon countdowns.
- Monsters terrorizing suburbia.
Not Approved Of:
- People for whom I have already bought DragonCon passes suddenly deciding maybe they can't go.
- Opposing plans to change a situation because you don't want to lose something that doesn't even exist in the current situation.
- Actual snakes on actual planes.
- Not being able to recognize that something is broken because you're not the one that's pulling shards of it out of your foot.
- Lack of Indian or Japanese restaurants in Northtown.
- Not having the fucking Grid yet.
EDIT: Approved - Older men with ponytails. Not approved - Making legal decisions according to advice from your invisible midget friends.

Number one thing I miss about memphis/cordova- Bombay House. Oh... for just a mouthful of anything from their buffet...even the tandori chicken
DragonCon sounds fun, some year when I'm not convinced if I leave my house will blow down trapping my family who wouldn't be smart enough to leave if I didn't insist (totally wrong, they would leave, it's just this weirdness that has attacked me since Katrina, because I need a new phobia) I am so going/coming to it.

Date: 2006-08-18 06:12 pm (UTC)Also, holy crap, DragonCon. From where you're at, it'd only be a 7- or 8-hour drive, too. You could take Jim and the boys with you, even...
