Only the really good stuff. Like this:

watch your tense and case
oh baby
i want to be your direct object.
you know, that is to say
i want to be on the other
side of all the verbs i know
you know how to use.

i've seen you conjugate:
i touch
you touched
you heard
she knows
who cares

i'm interested in
a few decent prepositions:
above, over, inside, atop,
below, around and
i'm sure there are more
right on the tip of
your tongue.

i am ready to spend
the present perfect
splitting your infinitive
there's an art to the way you
dangle your participle and

since we're being informal it's okay to
use a few contractions, like
wasn't (going to)
shouldn't (have)
and a conjunction:
but (did it anyway)

and i'm really really glad
you're not into dependent
clauses since all i'm really
interested in is your
bad, bad grammar
and your exclamation point.

And I will not tell you who that made me think of. You will have to guess.

I expect it reminded you of many people. I've never found a greater concentration of people who are turned on by the correct use of the objective relative pronoun than around here. And yes, I include myself in that number.

That's the Midwest for you. We lack beaches, therefore we become attracted to things other than how the object of our affection looks in a swimsuit. Clearly, I should have been living here all my life.

Apparently, I should have paid better attention in school.

Yes, they are. I love you anyway, though. *pets the ungrammatical dragon*

Suh-weet. I bet it'll make [livejournal.com profile] fionnabhar go all wibbledy.

I imagine so. I'm guessing that she's not going to bring it in as a classroom example, though.

Erm, no. But maybe [livejournal.com profile] nodeal57 should recite it for the CD?

Sorry, I'll clean that up in a minute.

Damn, that was awesome.

I am entirely bereft of the vocabulary with which to respond. Weak in the knees, I tell you!
