Mundane updates
Nov. 14th, 2005 01:04 pmI'm halfway through A Feast For Crows at this very moment. I revel in that, even though nobody else cares. And you know what? Jaime Lannister, that's what. I'm starting to like the bastard, even as I know that as soon as I love him, he's going to die in some horrible way, painful to behold. Much like in 1984, where they wait to kill you until you love Big Brother, except backwards. I'm onto you, Mr. Martin. I know your ways.
Also, I'm one vendor away from full at the Winter Bazaar. I snagged a couple of KCRF merchants (score!), and have a lot of new faces. That cuts both ways, I think, but I'm hoping it'll help our bottom line in the end. We will see, oh yes, we will see. Still, last year we had 23 vendors, and this year we're closer to 30, so it's got to do some good somewhere. The $1000 profit this event typically brings in is starting to look a little pale compared to our $850 garage sale (!), but I've cut the expense way down this year, and added vendors, so hopefully we'll do something closer to $1500 profit. One can hope, I suppose.
