I'm halfway through A Feast For Crows at this very moment. I revel in that, even though nobody else cares. And you know what? Jaime Lannister, that's what. I'm starting to like the bastard, even as I know that as soon as I love him, he's going to die in some horrible way, painful to behold. Much like in 1984, where they wait to kill you until you love Big Brother, except backwards. I'm onto you, Mr. Martin. I know your ways.

Also, I'm one vendor away from full at the Winter Bazaar. I snagged a couple of KCRF merchants (score!), and have a lot of new faces. That cuts both ways, I think, but I'm hoping it'll help our bottom line in the end. We will see, oh yes, we will see. Still, last year we had 23 vendors, and this year we're closer to 30, so it's got to do some good somewhere. The $1000 profit this event typically brings in is starting to look a little pale compared to our $850 garage sale (!), but I've cut the expense way down this year, and added vendors, so hopefully we'll do something closer to $1500 profit. One can hope, I suppose.

I'm about 2/3 through The Dark Tower; so far Walter, Eddie, and Jake have died; Yet theres still a lot more material left to cover,,,,I'm almost expecting King to resurrect them some how..but I'll just have to dive back in to find out.

I think you will be satisfied with the end. I was, and I almost never am.

I have two questions for you regarding this loverly endevor... Firstly--Did the Zum people get back with you? (I hope so. I love thier stuff). And Secondly--Is it to late to say I would like to do a divination table?

No, and no. Though I'm not sure where I'd put you, right off hand... But I will think of something. If you want to have a divination table, I will find space for you. Will you do I Ching?

Yes. I Ching. I don't need anything big or fancy but I do need a table and two charis. Even a shelf would be fine. I am going to make a lovely sign and have pretty's and such for visual *pull*. Now that I think of it, the Big Kitty and [livejournal.com profile] chaosdruid donated these loverly *tallish* circuliar tables to Gaia after the wedding and they haven't yet made it out of the back of [livejournal.com profile] cerrunos's car. I *and another* could use those.

If you have room for one more, in that you are not waiting to hear from someone else, I could pursue them as I think they would be great for the cross-section that is comeing.

Let me know.

I can definitely squeeze you in. I'm not sure about anybody further. I must consult The Map (which is at home) and see. I'll let you know.
Who did you have in mind?

I was going to poke the Zum people. Just cause I *really* want them there. If not, no big. I will poke them harder and sooner next year. I think they were confused about my initial request. They *donate* to non-profits and I think they confused my initial attemts as a request for money and not for them to sell stuff. No big if we have the spaces filled... that's the important thing... :-)

Oh ah. Actually, as fabulous as they are, I have a couple of folks already (local crafters) with soaps and bath stuff. I don't want to step on them, you know?

On the other hand, if Zum wants to donate money, or product, we'd not say no to that, would we, darlings?

From: [identity profile] celticwhistlin.livejournal.com
I know *I* wouldn't. If we want to go that route, we have to submitt an application *early*

As for donating stuff to sell... I am not sure how thier deal works. I will have to talk to them.

Those tables actually came from she who is currently head of the kidspace committee. Since we were borrowing tables from Gaia at the time she brought them to donate, she loaned them to us for the wedding first. It would be good for them to make it into the ritual closet soon before she notices their absence.

I had not been aware of their history. I will make sure to get them in the closet this weekend and I will ask that I tap one of them for my divination table for WB saving you some space I hope.

Thanks D!

My husband asked for A Feast for Crows for Christmas. Do you recommend it?

If he's read the others (A Game of Thrones, etc.), there's no stopping him from reading this one. It is quite good, but that really doesn't matter, because if you've gotten this far, you're going all the way. If he hasn't, there's no point in starting here at all. He'll never catch in.

Oh, he has read them all and loved them. I guess I know what I'm getting him this year!
