Completed fanboy ninja mission to Borders. Acquired Knife of Dreams.
Began reading it immediately, despite the fact that I have two other books I'm currently reading, one of which somebody else will be waiting for.

Hah!

There was a brief moment in which I forgot the difference between Damodred, a Cairhienian house which counts among its numbers Moiraine Sedai and Galad of the Children of the Light, and Demandred, a Forsaken (during which I did exclaim "No Fricking Way!" with more loudness than was necessary). I seem to be past that now. The other thing, which lingers, is a newfound respect for said Galad. He seems to do okay, once he gets pointed in the right direction.

Oooh... Anansi Boys. How is it?

I try to limit my trips to HPB, space them out, so that there's a larger chance that there will be new stuff I want. Sometimes that even works. My real peril is Amazon, so I try not to go there if I can avoid it.

Since I'd already started Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell (as well as a small 1958 collection of sci-fi shorts), I'm exercising great willpower to put off reading Anansi Boys. On the other hand, I bought The Kindly Ones at the same time, and finished that over the weekend.

The only way I can escape Amazon with my bank account intact is if I only go there for specific things, as you do in Border's. My wishlist there has 300-some items, though most are CDs.
