I suppose it's entirely possible that either a) there are a lot of people out there who are angstier than zylch, or b) zylch is not very angsty about religion, preferring to save her angst for other spheres of life.

well, yes, I'm pretty happy with my religious life at the moment, so I guess that's pretty angst-free. And they seemed to be defining angst as "Oh, god, I'm such a horrible sinner, I should die" which is not me at all.

Kay, gonna stop angsting about my angst now. Because as greektoomey pointed out, that's really too close to emo.

Incidentally, that's the first time I've ever described anyone or anything as "emo." I'm still not sure exactly what it means, except that it seems to apply to kids dressed like Elvis Costello.

I think we're too old to know emo. I think it's "I am awful, please pity me", as opposed to goth, which is more "I am awful, isn't that beautiful?". The clothes are similarly less compelling.
