Holy Crap, it's Television!
May. 12th, 2005 08:42 pmSo apparently, a couple of weeks ago, Penn & Teller's Bullshit did a show on "Family Values" -- dealing with the myth of the "traditional family" and all that sort of thing. We don't have cable at my house, and generally wouldn't turn the box on if we did, but this sounds like the sort of thing we'd be interested in (and we like Penn & Teller a lot, too).
Apparently it's going to be on again tomorrow night. Does anybody local have the Showtime channel? And if you do, would you be willing to make a tape of the show for us? Pretty please?

Date: 2005-05-16 04:25 pm (UTC)I'm not gonna argue with that a bit. I was mostly just hoping that this would be something that I could use in a class I am developing, and I'm not sure that it will fit - I assume that most of the audience for the class will already be aware that there are a variety of possible family structures.

We're all pretty excited about the whole thing over here -- good press for alternative lifestyles is always welcome, and you know, Penn & Teller.
