This is a Pippin.

This Pippin needs somewhere to stay. Ideally, she needs somewhere to stay where she will be the only dog. She's somewhere around 2 years old, black lab and... er... something with a fluffy undercoat. She is good with kids and sweet-natured, but is jealous of other dogs (not aggressive, just anxious, and if someone is paying attention to another dog, she can't stand it). When we had visiting cats, she was largely indifferent to them.

Pippin was born with three paws rather than the usual complement - one of her right legs ends in a sort of stump. This doesn't slow her down any, though. She is currently being fostered from Diana's Grove at our house in Kansas City.

she can't stand it ... "and wants to butt in/get in on the action", I'd say. It's definitely not aggressive, but it's surprising, both to humans and dogs.

I'd like to eventually... We've left that option open as a possibility... I know Valkie is the queen of the roost and that sometimes causes problems with other animals - but I don't know yet...

The jealousy thing would make it difficult for her to live here with us, though Jack *loves* female dogs that are bigger than him.

If you're interested in her, would you like to borrow her for a couple of days and see how she reacts with a smaller dog? Or bring Jack by here sometime?

Most of where I've seen the "butting in" is with larger dogs. Any time I saw her at the Grove, there were always both large and small dogs around so I can't isolate how she'd react to a small one. But she might look at him more like a cat; it's hard to say. And I honestly think she'll chill out a bit in a situation where there are people around more constantly than we can manage here.

Aww, she looks *exactly* like my dog. I was quite shocked to see a picture of Max posted on the internet.
