I'm uncertain if this represents all my tawdry cinematic dreams coming true, or the greatest disappointment my world has ever known.

If you think of the story as a murder ballad, having Cave attached to the project starts to make more sense.

I remain somewhat skeptical. *The Crow* was a really important movie to me when it came out (although less so now), and I'm ambivalent about Norrington's other work, particularly the abomination that was LXG.

Hmm. Once you put it that way, now I'm more confident about it.

I also want to go watch The Crow again through my musicking filters. And add some Nick Cave to my karaoke setlists.

On reflection, my loathing for LXG is balanced or perhaps even outweighed by my love for the atmosphere of the first Blade film, which Norrington also directed. So there's that. Maybe if Mark Isham does the score for the Crow remake....
