1. Thai Spider-Man Saves Autistic Boy. Firefighter uses superhero costume to talk a scared boy off a ledge. Alleges that he keeps Spider-Man costume in his locker at work "to liven up school fire drills". We here at Featherynscale Industries are suspicious, but impressed. You go, cosplay guy!

2. "Sometimes the best news is that a story makes no news." Seventh-grade math teacher invites whole class to his commitment ceremony, nobody thinks it's that big a deal. Bonus points: 1. When asked "were you surprised to learn your teacher was gay?", seventh graders responded: “He’s not gay,” said Japhet Guzman, 12. “No,” agreed a lanky 13-year-old who walked with a bit of a tough-guy swagger, “he’s not gay. He’s bisexual. Why don’t you ask him?” 2. Bisexual math teacher is tremendously cute. Of course, he's a bisexual math teacher, so I may have some bias in that assessment.

I think #2.2 just made my evening. :-)

The word "ROFLCOPTERS" applies here, I think.

Now the world will know of my secret bisexual math teacher fetish! OHNOES! (Seriously. Who would not find this an attractive concept? And by the way, internet, oh you of whom it is said that if anyone has ever thought of it that the internet has porn of it, where is my bisexual math teacher porn?)

Google seppuku ("math teacher") says page two, but it's unclear whether she's bi.

pg 2 is first instance of porn, page 21 is first possibility of bi-porn. Hard to say for sure as I chose not to click through.

I resemble that remark, in all but biological sex, and thus am compelled to remind you that I am right here in KC and he is not.

;)

And you are also tremendously cute. It may be a natural result of bisexual-math-teacherdom.

Wait a minute, Peter Parker is actually a Thai bisexual math teacher by day and a firefighter by night?

Yup. I know what you're thinking, because I'm thinking it too - "Best retcon EVAR."

Y'know, I remember when Marvel Comics started publishing Spider Man in India (a title cleverly called, "Spider Man: India") in 2004 - where Pete's name is Pavitr Prabhakar. They did a whole new take on the characters to make them native to the country - he lives in Mumbai with his Aunt Maya and Uncle Bihm and the girl of his dreams is Meera Jain. Instead of being bitten by a radioactive spider, he meets an ancient yogi that instructs him in supernatural crime-fighting spider yoga to fight evil.

Like Dave Barry, I am not making this up.

One wonders if a Thai version isn't now warranted?

The students who have such a teacher seem rarely to freak out, in fact will come roaring to their defense. We had a Math teacher who took off "Day without Gays" and his students were ready to riot when the rumor rolled around he was getting fired. He and a few others of us had to quiet their fervor before they got suspended for nothing (I promised to join and lead should it come to that, helped calm them down.)

Parents...well that varies. Reason #738 not to grow up.

So as a bisexual math teacher does that put him in the middle of the x and y axes?

(Math jokes aren't my forte, but I'm trying!)
