The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, Oct 1 edition

Out of sequence.

The Bad - Missed the Cruxshadows show last night. I've seen them a couple of times, and they're generally enjoyable. Besides which, I hate to miss an opportunity to dress up. Ah well, I suppose that means I'll just have to dress up another day instead. This does not make me cry.

The Good - The reason I missed the show is that the dad-of-kittenpants came over last night and fixed our washer. Yay!! No more laundrapalooza days at the coin-op! (probably - initial test indicate that the washer no longer floods my domain when operated, but more experimentation is required.) Also the good, kittenpants' brother came over as well, and an extremely goofy round of Kemetic Unorthodox Rat-Screw ensued.

The Ugly - During the KURS game, said Brother played the Devil, which requires the player to admit to an "original sin" - something they've done that they think no one else at the table has. So the Brother says "I accidentally drank three-month-old bong water once," causing us all to be heartily disgusted and give him cards. And behold, the next new rule made was to give Brother a free pass on all future plays of the Devil, that we might not have to hear anything else like that.

I am not entirely certain what the status of the clothes-processor is; I ran it last night to get that extra water out and it keeps stopping midcycle. I turned it on again this morning to try to run it through; we'll see when we get home (whenever that is).

It used to do this when the lint trap was full and it couldn't squeeze out the water fast enough (I think that's what was stopping it anyway). So that may be a simple fix; the downside is that you have to be careful opening the lint trap or it will gush that last half-gallon of water all over your feet.

We'll see.

Bah. And I was all enthusiastic too. If you are wanting to remember to look at it when we get home, you'd better write it down somewhere. If this meeting is anything like last meeting, afterwards, practical matters like washing machines will probably fall somewhat lower on the list of mental priorities than other entries, like, say, bite off heads of unfocused persons, drink, and sleep to stave off total brain-burn. But maybe that's just me.
