After a year and a half without a leather jacket, I picked up a very nice one at the motorcycle shop on North Oak. It's properly heavy, and even has a zip-in liner. Unrestrained glee! [livejournal.com profile] triadruid tells me that it will not stop bullets, but perhaps musket balls. Good enough, I say.

Also, while apparently there was only one strapless black corset to be had in all of Kansas City after Halloween, I was able to pick up a dark red one with black mesh overlay and sequins from Priscilla's Cirilla's with my Stripper Card. I gotta tell you, if I'm ever feeling overly petite again, all I'll have to do to repair my self-image to its normal perception of monstrous ogreness is go lingerie shopping. On the other hand, I did discover that I can wear a large from Shirley of Hollywood, apparently the only lingerie company in the United States that caters to women with breasts. So there you are. I can now order lingerie from the internets. I will be unstoppable. Or something. :)

I refut your theory with large breasts that swing by the belly button. They need *lots* of support to look right. Srsly.

I will be ordering it soon... hehhehehehehehehehe

I address your refutation with the concept that women with larger busts will find simple, unadorned undergarments, allowing their natural curvy beauty to be the source of attraction, while the 10-year-old-boy waifs need the sort of lingerie that was being discussed to allow themselves to look like a real woman.

I agree to disagree as you are outside looking at.

I am inside.

Unadorned undergarments for larger ladies is actually disappointing. I would like something other than white or off-white that will lift the boobs up to a more appropriate position.

Which is completely understandable. I'm sure there are a lot of geeks would love eyeglasses with lasers in the side, there's just not enough to make it profitable.

There are a lot more waifs who need help looking feminine than there are curvy women who want help. (and will pay for it)

It's not necessarily that us curvy types "want help" but that we would like something that doesn't look like our grandmothers'!

I stand by my statement:
Plain white on curvy, even on Grandma trumps anything on a waif and 'The Market' knows that, so the ones who can't do without help buy more fancy stuff, and thus there is more fancy stuff for them to buy.
