Three thoughts (not by Einsturzende Neubauten)

1. When you log in to Flickr, it randomly displays a greeting in some other language, with a line underneath that says "Now you know how to greet people in [insert name of language here]!". Today, I logged in and it said "Howdy, Featherynscale!", but did not also say "Now you know how to greet people in country-western!". I was sort of disappointed.

2. I got my hair cut the other day (again by Mo of Chop Tops, who I completely recommend), and I'm feeling like kind of a hottie. I mean, like if I just had a blazer and a chest binder, I could be in Details. *grin*

3. Curry is always better as leftovers. Even fish curry.

I go for a haircut this afternoon. Trying to rally my courage for a very different (much shorter) 'do than I've had since... ever, really. See, my hair drives me nuts in LA because of the shitty air and shitty water. But as soon as I come up here, and bathe in my parents' well water, it's all nice and cooperative. So I tend to want to leave it as-is cause it looks nice. And I only get my hair cut up here. It's kindof like... going to the grocery store hungry, or something.

I have the opposite problem with regard to shortness - I find that I am continually engaged in a struggle with hair-cutting-people who do not want to cut it as short as I want my hair to be cut. I also find that because I don't spend a lot of time looking at myself, I don't notice that my hair has become wretched until it has been wretched for a very long time indeed. And then I'm like "What has happened to my head?!?". Oh yes, neglect has happened. :)
