More things that suck

I got a check-out letter from my old apartment complex today. They inform me that they would like to charge me $650 to replace the carpet in the apartment, as the dog hath pissed thereon. I would be okay with this, except for the part where I paid $220 in pet deposit and a total of $500 in "pet rent" while I was there - in my world, those fees were to cover any pet-related damage to the apartment, and they add up to more than the cost of replacing the carpet. Blergh.

i agree. i would refuse to pay them. that was what i did with my last land lord when they tried to pull a buttload of shit outta their asses that they said i owed. one was repairs on the roof which i had to laugh because i know for a fact there wasn't a thing wrong with the roof. why? because we would be up there on the roof at least twice a year every year for the 4 years we lived there. we, meaning mac with me telling him where i wanted the lights hung. LOL! anyway they threated to sue, i said ok then i would give them the name of my lawyer because i was gonna fight them and then they decided that they didn't want to mess with it because it would cost them more money in court costs then what they where asking. so there you have it. don't know why friggin land lords are such ass munches but they are. ugh!
