And a few more things
Nov. 26th, 2007 09:51 am- There were no winners in Mom-Call Keno. As it turned out, there had been a catastrophe of biblical proportions at Mom's house on Thanksgiving: the power went out when they were cooking dinner. So instead of the usual conversation, I got to say things like, "Wow! Your turkey took out the entire eastern seaboard!"
- I finally made it to Gnostic Mass with
mesniu's group. It was an absolutely beautiful rite, and the fellow who was doing the priest's role has a fantastic voice for the work. Upswing of interest in the Western Mystery Traditions at my house, yay! - Speaking of, can any of you magician types recommend a good book or seven on history of Western Mystery Tradition movements, groups, or bios of prominent players? I learned all of that stuff piecemeal and from some very dubious sources, so most of what I have in my head is fuzzy and likely to be incorrect.
- In other religious news, I think I'm going to skip the Wild Hare meeting tonight so that I can go to the monthly meeting of Kansas City Coalition for Welcoming Ministries. Their mission statement says they want to expand their focus to include non-Christian churches. I'm thinking we're willing to help with that.
triadruid started
kittenpants' lesbian Saturn last night! There was much rejoicing, followed quickly by complaints about the Saturn's turning radius. :)- Yesterday's Gaia ritual included list-making about things for which we were grateful. My list included, but was not limited to: giant turtles, the printing press, and warm socks.
