The Looking Glass Wars (http://www.amazon.com/Looking-Glass-Wars-Frank-Beddor/dp/B000NA1XRG/ref=pd_bbs_2/105-5411410-6086000?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1187772924&sr=8-2) was a fabulous read, it's a retake of the Alice in Wonderland story obviously, and it involves gear tech and assorted lovely interesting things. I highly recommend it to you!!!
