EDIT: And in case anybody's interested, I'm not a survivor. Skills aside, I'm sort-of value-engineered, and I require regular outside chemical input to sustain my processes. So in case of Zombie Apocalypse, you better get me to write down anything useful I happen to know.

Seems pretty likely I'd die in the collapse. Since anything that isn't instantaneous will probably bring me to the front lines before the end. The DHS funds St. Louis as a Tier II risk for both transportation infrastructure and as a major port. So if we were being nuked in preparation for a later invasion I'd be target number 40 or so which is well within the first strike capabilities of many nations. If the idea was straight retaliation or destruction there'd have to be an awful lot of nuclear hell before anyone would bother with saint louis... POSSIBLY long enough to get into the eastern Ozarks [the NW Ozarks will probably go when they get Whiteman for its Minuteman(s)] if you know the back-roads.

But then I'd probably be compelled to join whatever rescue/evacuation efforts the remains of the US mounted to deal with radiological fallout and die that way.

Now Zombies on the other hand I could deal with. I can have a Sako TRG-22 and a few thousand rounds of Winchester 150gr JSP to hand in about fifteen minutes. Enough ammo to get ahold of more ammo (Goodfellow Boulevard and I70 = St. Louis Army Ammunition Plant). Which should be enough to go find Zylch, whom I can hide behind when the ammo is spent }-).
