Of course, what I'd really like to do (and what [livejournal.com profile] kittenpants would like to do) is a big Dionysia gathering. Have I talked about this before? We'd want some sort of a venue in which we could do workshops during the day, and big concerts and ecstatic ritual in the evenings, in a big multi-day event.

Also, art, theater, music, and other creative endeavors. Something between Burning Man, Ye Olde Paganne Gathering, and a Peak Experience Production, but dedicated to and focused around Dionysus.

It would, of course, be the sort of event for which waivers would have to be signed.

We're still in the daydream and ally-making process on this -- you want in on the thing?

That's the sort of gathering I'd have to bring a monkey to. I'd have to rent one, of course, as I don't have a monkey.

From whom can one rent a monkey? Because I'm thinking that would be an asset at a number of events I regularly attend.

The renting of a monkey was considered for Inherit the Wind, but he was unable to find one willing to do that. He did have someone lined up but then something happened and they weren't able to do it... not sure what. Hence, puppet monkey.

Hey, I read this on Sannion's flist, I don't really know you but I know [livejournal.com profile] kittenpants from Neokoroi. Anyway, just wanted to say that if you ever did this I would totally want to come, even travelling from far away. It sounds great!

I was sort of hoping we could talk you and [livejournal.com profile] sannion into helping out, actually. :)

What kind of help would you need? I'm afraid I'm rather tapped out financially, unfortunately - it would be hard enough, but possible I think, to get out there for the event. However, I would love to help with ideas, rallying the troops, creative stuff, etc. Just let me know.

Eh, not so much with the money. If we make it to the stage where money becomes important (i.e. we think this will actually work and are moving to actually put it on), money will be manifested somehow.

I was thinking you guys would be excellent help on the creative/planning side of things, helping come up with themes and programming and whatnot.

Cool idea!! Maybe you could rent/camp at Camp Gaia for a weekend, and host events there...at least it would be a pagan-friendly venue. Good luck!!

What I wouldn't give just to see what the waiver for that thing would look like.
