Quick quiz: Programmer or Serial Killer?

Ten faces, you decide if these folks are famous for developing computer languages or for slaughtering whole families at a time. I got 6 of 10, basically at random, since recognizing faces (or even really assessing facial features) is not a real reliable facility for me. I bet you can do better, particularly if you're [livejournal.com profile] kittenpants.

I only got five out of ten, but then I only knew one of the faces (Son of Sam).

I was amused to have accused the guy who designed Eiffel of being a serial killer. I've written Eiffel language extensions.

I've taken it before, and got a perfect score. Of course, I've read a lot of biographies of serial killers.

Yeah, it seems that serial killers don't wear ties. Though I still only got five right.

I think for somebody who has worked with Eiffel/SNOBOL/whatever derivatives, I really suck at this ... 4/10

Oh, and I'm dead several times from the serial killers.

Love the sound effects.

8/10, just from guessing. Before taking this thing I was going to say "Programmer or serial killer? Can't a person be both?", but that second or third guy proved me right. I'm curious- why don't we know about any female serial killers? Don't they exist?

Of course you can be both.

Also, there are at least two ladies in the SK Hall O' Fame. One of them was a trucker who picked up hitchhikers and offed them, apparently, in the great state of Florida, even. I don't recall what the other one did. I have a theory that there are probably more female serial killers, but they don't get caught, because whenever the FBI starts looking for an SK they're always looking for a dude first.

Actually, research* reveals at least seven independent female serial killers in the USA alone, and two lady SKs who worked with a male partner.

* Research, in this case, consists of Wikipedia's List of Serial Killers by Country (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_serial_killers_by_country#USA)
