Other people were disappointed that 300 was not historically accurate, or that it had no plot to speak of. I am not bothered by these things. I am, however, disappointed that Rodrigo Santoro, the fellow who played Xerxes, is not 12 feet tall in real life. He is still attractive in real life, but in the film he got extra points for being monstrous. Oh well.

Well if you really want to get picky, I can tell you all sorts of inconsistencies with how the Persians were portrayed in that film. But that's a long list :)

No doubt. I imagine that the actual, historical Persians were no more likely to be mutants than anybody else, for one thing.

Yeah, that and the whole not wearing rags things. The Persian's had their stuff pretty together back then and dressed a hell of a lot nicer :)

This is true. You don't get to be a world-beating empire by being less adept than your enemies. Some of the Persian outfits were pretty slick, though. The orcs ninjas Immortals were probably the best-dressed folks in the film, I thought.
