Everyone is, by cosmic law, entitled to a midlife crisis. I'm not going to have mine all at once, though. I am going to parcel it out, and have it for four days every year for the rest of my life. At Dragon*Con.
I, for one, think Con could do with a good deal more (marginally) managed irresponsibility. I'm wavering on running a booth there this year, but still set on going.
I'm not sure what a mid life crisis would entail for me. The Tower card has turned up in my life so many times it makes it rather difficult to tell.
Personally, my midlife crisis is on hold until I get to that nervous breakdown I keep scheduling, but life keeps getting in the way. After Katrina I was going to have it, then I really thought this last few weeks might do it, but still no white rooms yet. So the midlife crisis has to wait it's turn.
I've been a fan of Phil Foglio since I first came across his artwork on the cover of Robert Asprin books in fourth grade or so. Even got signed copies of XXXenophile and Phil 'n Dixie comics.

He's a very cool guy in person.
