We probably can't do it up like they are on the coasts, but I hate to let the occasion pass unmarked. (The big day, here is 2/18.)

I'm not sure yet. At this stage it's more a "we should do something" than a "let's get together at this place at this time and do this thing".

The upside to that is that if you have a clever idea, you've just gained a handful of people to do it with you.

I'd say a big through provoking discussion. The kind you have way too late at night, with a recreational drink to sip. Is there some bar or coffee shop that has a nice conversation pit type setting?
