I don't usually get excited about buying things. It's not really a part of my game. But, [livejournal.com profile] ursulav, currently holding the post of Favorite Artist I Don't Live With, is doing some sort of limited-edition t-shirt thing. And I must have one.

The thing is, which one? Martini Trolls? Dwarf with Cookies? Crow Totem? Owl Saint? Suspension?

Sadly, many of my favorites among her paintings are vertical compositions, which would look crappy on a t-shirt over my shape. Which is a shame, because if I could have Angels of Gearworld or Elder Porcupine, the question would be entirely different.

So I'm buying two sketches, and want a fruit art I can't have because they are sold out (damn, I wanted squash bats!) So anyway, I just wanted you to know that when I'm explaining my expenditure-without-job to Jim, I'm ablamin' you! Hah!

I can be so dumb... only squash bats original is sold out... the print is available, so what I'm getting is

dwarf cookies
anti dodo propaganda
Squashbat
wildebeets

and I'm debating eggplant of kalamata to make a grouping of three on the vegie/fruits. :) I really like this stuff... the whimsy really appeals to me, not to mention the pun names.

Only the fact of my being presently unemployed is keeping me from sabertooth mouse:(

The anti-dodo propaganda one cracks me up. I mean, they all do, but that one in particular. And, you know, I practically live in Kansas, so it's topical.

The whole dodo scene in Ice Age 2 pretty much gives me movie-gasms. I don't know why this dodo fetish started, but there it is:)

A plus is taking cashier's checks, so I can stop running up the damned credit card.

oh, heavens, yes

I'm so tempted to get Riverwoman Dawn on the back of a long-sleeved shirt, and wear it wet. For a photograph, standing bare-assed in a lake. Or something.

That would be art, right?

One of the wombat tea labels would be super, too.

I'm pretty sure it's art if you think it's art. Or if you can convince somebody else it's art.

For my personal purposes, though, I use the Red Green distinction (http://www.redgreen.com/): If I can do it, it ain't art.

I love them so. All hail cheerful monsters and their unlikely drinking habits!

Argh! The indecision!

I totally need an Ursula shirt. I mean, when else will I have the chance to get a Mammoth Garlic shirt? Or Battle Hamsters of the North? Or Lurking Sock Puppet? Or Orc Nouveau?
