Yesterday, while shopping for groceries, we discovered that Caribou Coffee makes a breakfast bar with ground coffee in. Breakfast bar. Coffee. This is the best pre-fab breakfast food concept ever. They smell better than they taste, but are still pretty damned tasty, and anything that helps me get more stimulants into my system, I have to support.

EDIT: Yeah, I think I'll be wanting some for the drive to DragonCon...

hmm...interesting mix...too bad there aren't any caribous even close to this part of va...'have to look for them on the next trip out...

...and they reminded me of the chocolate-dipped cappuccino ice cream cone I had at Murray's Saturday night. I actually bought some of the Zone Perfect bars in place of the stuff I was getting through GNC (Got No Cash) to see if the cheaper 'grocery store' brands of power bars were just as good. Seems like they are. ~200 calories per bar with lots of protein and not much fat. This is better than eating beef jerky for lunch, which I greatly enjoy, but has too damn much salt in it to be good for my blood pressure. Seriously. Bad for the kitty.

Oh, coffee bars are fine, but you'd better hold off on the Monty Python until at least 10 AM.

The Monty Python actually was being played by the receptionist, who is always happy to play damned near anything, without regard to format or genre... sitting near reception is a little like listening to Jack, but weirder.
I prefer this to the moods he sometimes gets, in which he will play the same CD, sometimes even the same song, over and over again...

We don't have a Caribou either (although apparently there will be one somewhere in the metro soon). These were just on the grocery shelves.
