If I wear a kilt, is it cross-dressing?

You see, part of yesterday's sacred theater festivities required me to wear a greatkilt, which [livejournal.com profile] agrnmn was kind enough to loan me, and [livejournal.com profile] triadruid was kind enough to dress me in. "I can kilt you," he said, "I mean, I've kilted [livejournal.com profile] iron_clad before." (Later, when he was crawling on top of me with his hands under my ass, trying to adjust the length of the kilt, I had to ask, "You did this to [livejournal.com profile] iron_clad?" "Not this part," he replied, "but if it helps you to get through the day to think that I did, go ahead.")

The reactions from other folks were odd. Some of this could be attributed to the gender question asked above (Quoth [livejournal.com profile] triadruid, "Between the wool and the T'ger shirt, it goes a long way to hiding the tits. Let me find you my sporran, and I think you could pass, from about 50 paces. Maybe even 30."). But probably some was also due to the fact that you could see my knees. To my knowledge, nobody's seen my knees when I wasn't either in the midst of dressing, or completely naked, in several years. I'm a big fan of the pants, and even when I wear the dresses (which only happens for costume purposes) they're long enough to cover my ankles.

Several of the guys asked if they could kilt-check me. These are, it should be noted, men that I have kilt-checked any number of times, so that was sort of funny. And then, there's this, also from [livejournal.com profile] triadruid, "Well, you've dressed me up as a girl several times. Now I get to dress you up as a boy. It all evens out." Yep. The relationship is alive and kinky.

I don't think it's any more cross-dressing for you than if I were to dress as a thug. But I do agree it was a stunning look for you, though I think you only could have passed as male if you didn't walk. That walk is...distinctive.

You're right about your knees -- they were so pale and lovely, peeking out between the darnkess of the kilt and the boots. Yup, you looked yummy. I bet it pleased [livejournal.com profile] agrnmn greatly to be all over you like that, at least in the form of his kilt. :)

[livejournal.com profile] agrnmn did say that he would be perfectly happy to let me get in his clothing any time. :)

Also, what walk? I walk like a gorilla.

::shaking head::

Can anybody help me out here? Does this woman not realize how she walks?

*shrug*
Last time I heard, it was "like a gorilla in a hurry" or "like [I] didn't have any idea what to do with my body, or like all [my] movements hurt".
I mean, I do try to be proud of my pained, confused gorilla walking style, and it probably is distinctive, but um. I learned how to walk like a girl, but I'm not sure I ever mastered it.

I'm no assistance here. I've been trying to tell her that she walks like a cat in heat for _years_...

Oops, looks like I tried again anyway. ;)

Thank you -- both of you. Sex appeal, absolutely feminine though not girly, on the move. It works that way, whether she's wearing everyday clothing, a kilt, or footie pajamas.

And people say to themselves, day-um, and absolutely not in that "a gorilla just walked by" kind of way.

She doesn't walk, she glides. At least that's always been my impression.

That, and massively impressive hip action. I'm just sayin.'
