As it turns out, my work machine has MSN set as its homepage. On this page every day, down at the bottom where I usually don't look at it, MSN suggests search strings.

I usually don't look at them, but today's list caught my eye. Why? Here's why:
1. News: Gold injections
2. Images: Fruitcake
3. Druids
4. Overweight mothers
5. 12 days of Christmas

Somewhere in my head, I'm trying to make a coherent story out of this...

So if an elf were to procure toe socks and send them your way - would you be most interested in:

a. striped ankle lenght
b. striped knee length
c. silk
d. Color preference?
e. no more toe socks

Ummm... I'm always good for striped knee socks. But, on the other hand, I don't own any silk socks, so that's good too. And pretty much any color but red or orange. For some reason, I seem to have a lot of red- and orange-based socks. Which is weird. But anyway, yay for elves! Every home should have one.

Speaking of elves, I never asked: did you domovoi move with you?

If he has hes being awfully quiet. I have noticed something though. both inside and outside the house - if it's our guy he's gotten taller and is more grey than brown. So I think it's somebody different.

I'm not entirely convinced our domovoi is gone though - think he might be confused since his home has moved from being in the hearth area of our house - to the baby's room. Perhaps he's hibernating. Or I should gift him again. We invited him along when we left the house, and we invited him in when we moved in here. But in between were all those months at womanofsalt's house - and he surely didn't follow us there.
