Today's list is the List of Things I Have Been Served In Kansas City Restaraunts Instead of the Irish Coffee I Ordered.

  • An undrinkably cold Irish Coffee (Barley's Brewhaus)
  • A Bailey's and coffee (in two stages - Bailey's first, and coffee later) (Barley's Brewhaus)
  • A cafe au lait (Copelands)
  • A Nutty Irishman (Copelands)
  • A dirty look from the bartender, order amended to a Guinness (Harling's)

But it's, like, the easiest thing in the world. I boggle at the stupidity.

Not in KC, but...

O'Malleys in Weston serves a wonderful one, without prompting.

That's where I get mine.

From their menu.... Hot Drinks.

Wow. I think I might have to sample all of those. My father-in-law made me a Peppermint Paddy once. It is to die for.

MMmmmmmmm....yeah.

Coffee and cocoa-based drinks will have to be added to the New Year's Party Experience.

The SETH is wonderful, even without coffee.
(don't tell the people at www.cthulhucoffee.com that I said that.)

Wait. There is cthulhu coffee? That is what we must acquire for the party. It totally goes with the whole tentacled theme.

Bah! Not actually coffee!
I'm profoundly disappointed. Now I must go forth and seek out other tentacley coffee. *sigh*

I would have to concur with [livejournal.com profile] adammaker. They're good there. Perhaps there should be an outing there soon...

I don't know if I could survive without a place to serve good Irish coffees. Especially if there's Irish folk music. I miss my Irish pub from home, and I hope they open up again.
