Just said this to jackbabalon23, but it applies universally:

"Ever have one of those weeks when you feel like what's left of your brains-- the really resilient neurons that you haven't yet managed to kill off through intoxication, sneezing, or holding your breath until you turn blue-- have just decided to decamp and are now leaving via your left ear? 'Cause I am."

In my natural state I respond to stress with dissipation. By which I mean to say that usually in these situations I want a stiff drink, or a good hard f*ck, or a hit of acid, or a clove cigarette, or some honey and cinnamon ice cream or to cook something that involves setting the food on fire, or something. Not at the moment though. At the moment, I don't want anything, I just want to get the jobs done, and that's perplexing.

EDIT: Have switched to the traditional holiday default icon, that seems to help a bit. Also, Santa party on Saturday!
