OK then -- it seems like enough people might be in to make this entertaining, and I will solicit some of the non-LJ folks as well. But there were two different plans suggested: One in which we just did the thing for the Winter Holiday Season and then stopped, and one where we did the thing for a year, and we'd send each other stuff on birthdays, anniversaries, and just sort of generally throughout the year when we felt like it. So I said, "Let me consult my demons..." And here I am. What do you guys think? (Not that you're all demons, of course...)

I would be up for the whole year thing too, but I couldn't choose both so I went with the lesser of the two evils, as it were.

Plus, I tend to forget my *own* anniversary, let alone someone elses... :-)

Maybe. They'd know they were getting a package from Kansas City, or whatnot, anyway. Erm. Unless everyone used the same return address. But then they could tell by the postmark, or what.

Anyway, I was thinking that in the one gift/one time model, you would tell. If we did it the other way, you wouldn't tell until the end.
