Woo hoo!

[livejournal.com profile] druidevo very sneakily measured our new space the other day.... I have room for at least 26 vendors, depending on how much space they all want, which will be at least 4 more than we had last year. Good times.

I also have 7 vendors confirmed and three more who have verbally told me they would be there. Further good times.

Also, I ordered some contact cards with the WB info on them, to take to KCRF and other potential vendor-hunting grounds :)

This event has not even begun to give me hives yet.

I have some contact information for the Zum Bar people. They have great smelling goats milk soap and lotions. I *love* their stuff and I think will be a big hit. They are also based in KCMO.

www.indigowild.com or 800-361-5686

Frankincense and Myrrh lotion is the BEST!

Good times. It'd practically be like corporate sponsorship. I'll give them a call and see if they are interested.

Thanks!

Check out their website. Vegan friendly and everything... Their site gives a good perspective of them... I so hope they say yes.

This sounds really neat. Wish I could see it. Good luck with everthing!

Oh, come on! You don't want to drive up to Kansas City in the depths of our profoundly shitty winter and spend all your money with us?

Don't know why not :)

ohh... don't make it sound too appealing now, lol

Actually, I would go if I didn't have to drive from Phoenix!

Mikki was talking it up at GGG, who by the way had great vendors! I haven't had time to post yet, but I managed to buy four skirts, a toe ring, and a back pack for a whole whopping $35. Woot!

Sweet! I wish I'd thought about the contact cards earlier (which I didn't even think of in any useful way - [livejournal.com profile] niveus_tigris asked for them). I'd have liked to have something for GGG and maybe even as early as Heartland. Did Mik say if she was going to do a table for John again, by any chance?

No, but she didn't say anything to make me think otherwise...

When is this event being held? And can you describe the event in fifty or fewer words?

December 10th, and I'll try...

The Winter Bazaar is a temporary marketplace of goods and services of interest to pagans, new-agers, natural-food and holistic health enthusiasts, the religious left, the spiritual wherever, and other such ilk. At the Bazaar, it is generally possible to have your cards read, get a massage, have your aura brushed, and buy anything from lovely pagan greeting cards to dancewear to metal angel wall-hangings to large crystal phalli. It also happens to be a major fundraiser for Gaia Community.

That's more like 75 words, but long-windedness is a crucial part of my character.

Long-windedness is good. Much better than terseness.

Are you still keeping up with the EHQ Civil Calendar?

Yes, but the current version resides on our house wiki. That one is not getting updated anymore.

Well that doesn't do me any good at ALL! Typical.

You know how it is, babe, I live to frustrate you. Actually, not much has changed from that one that would be of interest to anybody other than us. We added a bunch of family birthdays and stuff to it, but that's about it.

That's perfect, 'cause I live to be frustrated! ;D

This is me, looking inquisitively at the dates 25-31 December.

Ummm... in my world, there's a Yulebock the afternoon of the 25th and (potentially) our Champaigne and Hentai party on the 31st. (Party to be determined, since the odds that our basement will be hospitable by then seem low. That party may or may not happen, or may happen at somebody else's house.)

Our house may be available for New Year's. My hazy recollection is that I should not have children this year at New Year's. I will have to verify that to be sure. I'd be willing to collaborate something to commemorate the occasion of the New Year though.

[livejournal.com profile] kittenpants previously alerted me to the QoW Champagne & Hentai night. It sounds like a blast.

Let this comment then serve as the first official notice that I am actually crazy and/or stupid enough to seek an invitation to voluntarily visit KC in mid-winter. I can even offer a 95% guarantee of a wholesale reduction in wangsty attention-whoring (compared to previous visits).

b) good times! I look forward to it.

I may or may not have to take off of work that week. **Looks in calendar** might even be feasible to do that. Hmm, kids go to ex's house (maybe) and I get them back for NYE. Yay!!! week off, here we go!! Oh, and Darling, bring a coat, a really big one. :D

That's the kind of talk I like to hear!

About the coat - big like this one, or big like this one? The first one is warmer, but the second one hides more.
