I'm wondering if someone can point me somewhere useful.
Here's the deal:
I'm looking to do more creative writing. The brain is rusty and underused. I joined
great_write_way, which provides a challenge once a week for very very short fiction. I like this. I think this is very, very cool. However, I would like to have some call to write more than once a week. And I am perfectly capable of coming up with my own prompts, but I want to put things out for comment/critique, and I don't want to do it here in my journal. I am cruel, sometimes, but I am not that cruel. I like you all too much to subject you to that.
Can anybody point me to a group (LJ communities are the best, since I'm already here) that they participate in or have seen and enjoy? I have been looking around, but since I really don't do fanfic (I'm not very fannish, or at least not involved enough in that sort of thing to be able to write convincing fanfic [not that 'convincing' seems to be important]), I haven't found much.
I did, however, find Jesus/Judas slash. But that's the sort of thing I have come to expect from the Internet.
Mercy Buckets.
EDIT: And if
fionnabhar and I started our own writing community, would you come and play?

Date: 2005-08-31 07:01 pm (UTC)Granted, I haven't been through all of them. But 90% seem to be devoted to a fandom or to fandom in general, which I don't want, and I got sort of tired of wading through it all. And I know that there are a fair number of writers on my friends-list, so I thought I'd ask.
The gods know I am lazy and don't want to do any work I don't have to.
