Holy crap, it's okay to pay the state for the privilege of expressing an opinion not conforming to the opinions of the people in power. But only in the state of Utah, and you have to go to court about it.

Utah residents allowed to keep pro-gay license plates.

Well, over half the country votes red, and conservatives often find homosexuality vulgar or offensive, so in that light "gay" comes under the same scrutiny as "spic" "kike" "vulva" "nigger" or "blowjob"

Now the fact that the people being called "gay" don't find it offensive makes it ok, but of course it's going to be thrown into question based on the current political war over it.

Something just occured to me though... since so much of this harkens back to civil rights. It is 'deviant' to be gay, but I guess blacks just got a bad roll of the dice???

I'm still hoping that some day, some how, llamas get the right to choose. I mean if we just shaved a cat whenever we wanted we'd possibly be locked up, but llamas and alpacas have no such protections. It is unfair I tell you!

Wait. You can't say vulva? What are you supposed to call it, then?

Ha! When my little brother was about seven, he fell off his bike and flabbergasted our elderly neighbor by declaring that he had hurt his scrotum.

Not on a license plate. I'm guessing... but I don't think pnispmpr would get a green light either. They're pretty good about reviewing for content in most states. Which is why Florida's A55 RGY was so unique.

I wonder if KCWITCH would be a valid request? Don't get me started on that though... per a thread with your furry mate I mentioned that Witchvox and Scientology (both legal religions) are net-nannied at Sprint. Xtian sites are fine though.

But I'm reasonable about it, over half the country votes red, and it is conceivable that if a vote went up to make homosexuality a felony, it might actually pass based on democratic majority. So while there is some oppression, it could certainly be a lot worse.

Thanks to That Play, "vagina," based on what I've seen others do.

Not on a license plate issues by the state. Try "tweeter" 8-)

Honestly, I do believe "4VULVA" would not pass as a vanity plate. A LOT of stuff doesn't. I seem to recall some debate because "BUSH" was deemed dirty prior to them running for office... so IM4BUSH or IEATBUSH etc. made things like VT4BUSH harder to have passed.

I know most of you all don't know me yet, lol. :) But I feel I have to say that I, for one, am shocked! Thank you for posting this article or I likely never would have seen it.

Regardless of how someone feels about someone else's business, unless there is a curse word or something that kids might pick up on, I don't see how they can/should care.

I will confess, I used to like W, until he did the whole "amend the constitution to ban gay marriage" bs to get elected again. Sheesh.

Ok. Off my soapbox now, sorry. ;)
