Note: This poll serves no purpose other than to satisfy my curiosity. It asks questions about hypothetical situations in which there is sexual activity. It should not be taken to represent my attitudes about your sexual activity, or any desire on my part to involve you in my sexual activity. I'm just curious.



Imagine, if you will, that you are sitting on the couch, vegging, watching a film. Two (or more) people of differing sexes come into the room, sit down next to you on the couch (it might be a very big couch). Assume that these are people that you like. They then decide to have sex on the couch (assume that there is room for them to do this without touching you).

I had the opposite reaction, actually. I'd be more likely to consider it an invitation if it was two people. Hmmmm...a personal fetish, perhaps?

It's possible, however unlikely, that two people who are about to have sex with each other might be so distracted that they don't notice the movie or the other occupant of the couch.

I don't think it's possible for anyone to walk into a room that's occupied, sit down next someone, and not notice that the person is there before they start masturbating.

This is why I would consider masturbation to be more likely an invitation.

But not a polite one, I'm thinking. If he or she is already shaking hands with the unemployed, I would read the message more as "Wanna help?" and not so much as "Anything I can do for you?"
