Experiencing a lot of deja-vu/weird resonances lately.
The Vietnamese place we hit for dinner last night triggered all sorts of unattached dread. Nothing bad happened there, of course. We had some excellent soup and went home. Nonetheless, required alcohol to settle down. The "premonition" didn't signal anything, it's just static.
The same thing is keeping me checking to see if everybody's okay, possibly if they're still real. Got alarmed this morning when [livejournal.com profile] triadruid joked about an itchy spot on his arm being plague. He, of course, looked at me funny, which is about the level of consideration that deserves.
Anyway, it's not preventing me from doing anything, just making me a little jumpy. Apologies to anybody I may inadvertantly weird out. I'm hoping that it will stop soon.

I really think your (second) hypothesis of spiders waking up for the warmer weather is a good one. I've got a second itchy spot on the back of my upper arm, same place, although of course I can't see it to be sure it's the same.

Do we have any more of those sonic doohickies? Do we need to get some?

Hope your head calms down soon. See you tonight. Love you. No dread here.

Do those sonic doohickies work? And will they affect the doggie?

Yeah - they're pretty effective. I don't know if they will bother your baby or not. They don't seem to bother the cat any, but that may not be the best of all possible indicators.

I may see if I know anyone who has one (or an extra one) and borrow for a night before making a purchase ... if widdle Racer The Pooh acts like he's being driven insane (or at least in a way not indicative of aftereffects of living with me) then it might be a worthy investment, especially given the tendency of mice or greater-than-four-legged creatures to skitter about.

Actually they state on the package that they don't bother dogs or cats. However, if you have pets of the rodentia variety, you need to be careful of placement...
I can't say that any of the cats have come to harm because of the electric doohickeys. They were really that stupid before we put them in.

friendly words of warning.

You just have to get used to the clicking. If a slow faucet drip drives you crazy, sonic clickers will drive you up the wall. click! click! click!

There is very little that will drive me crazy. (Well, at least any moreso than what's already there ...)

All of the sonic doohickies we have are currently in play.
Also, having read your response about the insulation, I'm thinking it would not be bad to vacuum the basement floor, since we've recently trafficked fiberglass all over it.

I will look at your spots when we get home, if you like.

Thank you for love and lack of dread :)

I think I can state that we have plenty. [livejournal.com profile] niveus_tigris had quite a few at the duplex that should have moved with us. It may take a couple of weeks to find them, though, if you're willing to wait.

Should be currently available at your local Home Depot. Or, alternatively, go here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/featherynscale/155880.html) or <a href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=sonic+pest+repeller&btnG=Google+Search>here</a>
