As it happened, I lost the bet with [livejournal.com profile] triadruid, and ended up in my obscene bikini at [livejournal.com profile] starwyse's party. This seemed to go over reasonably well. (Quoth [livejournal.com profile] beowulphx, "You lost, everybody else won.") Good times, I expect. The party was really lovely, and it was nice to see that whole crowd again. Happily, I remembered to ask [livejournal.com profile] niveus_tigris about making me some sword frogs, but unhappily, I didn't remember to do this until I was somewhat on the inebriated side, so unsure if that got adequately communicated/remembered. [livejournal.com profile] radcliffe wore a lovely kimono/corset combination that was stunning enough to make me think about wanting to wear a dress, which never happens, really. I utterly failed to process who [livejournal.com profile] akaashben was, and so did not get to talk to him, which made me sad. But I did get to see [livejournal.com profile] teross50 again, which was full of happy; I'm delighted he's back in town. Also of note, more lovely boys should plop themselves down in front of me and demand to be petted. That Did Not Suck.

Sunday, we failed to get up in time to do Interfaith Adventures. This probably had something to do with the fact that we didn't get home from the party until almost 4 a.m. So maybe next week we can pull it together to do that. We mostly made it to Gaia, although I took the afternoon off from spiritual growth to run errands. Apparently, in the ritual, the gods talked to everybody and were generally helpful. I opted for the somewhat more material advancement of getting some cables so that we could network everything in the home office together. Some days that sort of thing seems like a better bet.

Pardon me while I spam your flist. I do apologize, and the reason why I apologize is that I am from the Southern U.S., where apology is beaten into you from an early age.

I try to escape the conditioning, and to a certain extent, I have, but sometimes it surfaces in odd situations. Like Star parties. So things happen like this: A lovely boy I do not know wanders by me. All over the room, people are drinking and having a good time. Many people are randomly kissing or petting people who do not belong to them. And I, I see a lovely boy I do not know, and I think to myself, "Self, I would like to pet that boy extensively, and perhaps chew on him." And I reply, "But, I don't know him! He might not want to be petted and whatnot. It might be rude!" Never mind that it's totally that kind of party. Failure to adapt to my surroundings for the probable loss. It worked out well in the end, though, since he was the boy I mentioned in the previous post who sat down in front of me and demanded to be petted. The Skewed Southern Conditioning apparently decided that was a strong enough declaration of interest.

Also, if anyone can get me the recipe for the almond-caramel thing on the press-crust, I would be willing to trade negotiated servitude. I think I could come close without a recipe, but since it was simply perfect as it was, I hate to try and fall.

This is one of those things that somebody on my friendslist has got to know...

Can anyone tell me where one might buy fabric with some sort of naughty/obscene print?

The costuming for Dragon*Con continues apace, but I am beginning to despair of finding the proper sort of obnoxious fabric for my bloomers.
