featherynscale: Schmendrick the magician from The Last Unicorn (Default)
SO I had this dream last night, in which my household was going on vacation to Disney World (to play laser tag, apparently), and had to board the dog. So we took the dog, and they kept him. But we came back early, and went to pick him up, and found that the reason that this particular establishment ran so efficiently was that they stored dogs by taking them apart and storing the bits in vaculock bags. So we picked up the bag of dog, and took it out under a tree and dumped it out. All the bits still worked (independently of one another, which was disturbing-- his eyes blinked in their chunk of head, etc.), but he had been sectioned like a cow in a butcher shop and we had to put him back together. The tail was particularly problematic, as it had a tendency to wriggle off, and the backside of the dog was hard to find to attach the tail to. This process was of course, all dry and mechanical, because that's the way my brain works, but still disturbing.

I told [livejournal.com profile] triadruid about this dream this morning. His response: "Holy crap, your dog's a shaman."
