As it happens, the mysterious pumpkin-smasher did not return this year. This could be because she actually held a grudge against the previous inhabitants of the house and has realized that they no longer live there. Or, it could be that it was a random, drug-induced incident, not likely to recur. Or, it could be that enough people saw us playing pumpkin katana baseball on the front lawn on Saturday that the entire neighborhood now knows we're armed.
Speaking of pumpkin katana baseball, there could be game on tonight before the grove meets, weather permitting. We've got a damn lot of unmolested pumpkins sitting on the porch, and gods know you don't want to try and eat the stringy bastards.
Now, I did notice a lovely lot of sugarpie pumpkins at WF yesterday. Pumpkin soup is a distinct possibility. Also noticing at WF,
zylch, the lovely cashier boy seems to be a Thelemite. Have you noticed this?

Date: 2004-11-01 07:30 am (UTC)IS YOUR CASHIER BOY A THELEMITE? How to find out...
1. Does he wear "Coil" or "Tool" t-shirts constantly?
2. Does he yell "93" randomly at people?
3. Is he often drunk on the job?
4. Does he seem like a proto-facist?
5. Does he randomly quote Crowley? Even and especially the dumb sexist or racist Crowley quotes?
6. Is he obsessed with sexual fluids?
7. Does he grab his "Mystic Rood" alot?
If you answered yes to any or all of the above, your cashier boy might be a Thelemite... Or at least a Crowleyite.

Date: 2004-11-01 08:26 am (UTC)It's not perfect, but it's not bad. We're really expecting it to be gone long, long before solstice, though, so we'll have no chance to test it.
While we were building it, though, a helpful neighbor did ride by on his motorcycle and inform us that in our location, true north and magnetic north were 3 degrees apart. Nice of him.
