The ChaosHound has resumed his tenure at EHQ, at least for the time being. Further than today, who can say, who can say, tomorrow seems so far away, who can say, who can say.

I picked him up from TCP yesterday to take him in for vaccination. "How's mah dawg?" I say to [livejournal.com profile] agrnmn.
"He's fine," quoth he, "He was a little mopey for a while, but then he started to fart a lot and that seemed to cheer him up."
"Maybe he was constipated," says I.
[livejournal.com profile] agrnmn says, "Or perhaps he ate a squirrel", as if, for all the world, he was merely advancing an alternate hypothesis with equal weight to the first, and not at all as if he had in fact seen squirrelly bits in the yard arranged in the distinctive pattern that says "I have been eaten by a large dog", which of course, I later found out was actually the case.

Ah well. He's a dog. I expect squirrel-eating out of him.

And he was much better behaved in the vet's office than last time (which is only to say that he didn't piss on the dog food display in the front office). He would not, however, under any circumstances, accept a dog treat from our Friendly Neighborhood Vet, Dr. Rad. Ah well. He's a dog. And soon, but soon, he'll be a legal dog, now that I can prove he's been vaccinated. Now when he chooses to take off viking, should Animal Control pick him up, they'll just bring him home.

Dogs do not like the vet snacks because they are a healthy mix of soy protein without all the potash.

Would you prefer Tofu paste or a Twinkie? Same sort of dilemna. 8-P

I wouldn't eat tofu paste or a Twinkie, actually. I don't think I've eaten a Twinkie since I was very very small, and am not about to begin again today.

Ok, Asparagus puree, or Captain Morgan's Jelly Bellies?

::sigh::

No... I just come up with great ideas. I tend to believe that if I acted on a few of my great ideas, I could top Bill Gates... or at least an Olsen Twin in economic growth.

But I'm lazy, so I will dream of gooey delights while working my 9-5. ;-)

Took Fractal viking today. I packed us some sandwiches, with fruit snacks and coke for me, and cleverly left his water in the garage, which shortened the trip. We hiked around in the Blue River park, exploring many a deer trail and lunching on a bluff over the river. Came home and watered the dog (inside and out).

There are indeed wild grapes to be had. I munched on a few with lunch. They are small and annoying and probably not worth the effort for Sunday. But tasty.

We were happy to have his farting self about as was Marley, Ginger tolerates dogs as they are a lower life form...much like children. He is quite welcome here anytime in my opinion, for however long or short that my be.
