Out like a scout

As it turns out, I'll be out of town from this evening until effectively next Wednesday (I'll actually be back Tuesday night, but am not anticipating dealing with anyone other than my immediate family and orcjohn, who is being kind enough to transport me to and from the airport, until Wednesday).

So, item one, pre-emptive birthday greetings to teross50, greektoomey, and apsinthion. Happy respective birthdays, guys!

Item two, I'm glad I'm going to the festival, but I could wish that I'd had more time to spend with kittenpants and triadruid between them being gone and me being gone. :( *misses*

Item three, thanks to orcjohn for driving me, and saffronhare, agrnmn and zylch for looking after the hellhound (He's a teacup Newfoundland, you know).

Of course you will. (Probably.) I just would have liked to have had some more time to get over missing you last week before I had to move on to missing you this week :-P

This is actually the down side of the carpe diem mindset - if all you are certain of is today, it makes you more motivated to do stuff you want to do, but it's sort of a bitch when there are several things you want to do on any given day, and you can't be entirely certain that the opportunity will still exist later :-P

Of course, I'm certain that Spiral will not be there next week, and I'm at least 70% certain that you and kittenpants will be, so overall it's okay. It's just that everything has an associated opportunity cost calculation.
