I have lived in Kansas City for over three years now. Kansas City is my home, insofar as I have a home, and it is where the people I love are.

Therefore, I should not get crushingly homesick when I talk to people with Southern accents on the phone.

I still get homesick for the East Coast. I've lived here since late 1999, and had few years of my life actually settled in the east.
