It occurs to me that I have been a piss-poor Pillar of Severity these last few weeks, so I'm going to make a solid effort at correcting that between now and Samhain. I consider this fair warning.
Welcome back. I'm actually a bit worried about our "switch!" come Samhain. It's partly because I don't want to lose so much of my hard work with mercy this year, but mostly because severity is so damn...comfortable...for me.
And here I thought that "Nothing is lost" was going to be one of your takeaways from this year...
Also, I think you'll find that once you get into this space, that there are some aspects of Severity you weren't expecting, just like there were some aspects of Mercy that you weren't expecting.
It is a good thing to have done more against type work first, though - it leaves us free to go a little deeper into the type that we normally play out as, when we get to there.
This year is difficult. Next year may be easier. It's the prospect of the third year that boggles me.

Maybe I need to poke at that a bit more.
