Curiosity spawned by talking to greektoomey this morning. If you're talking to someone over the net, how do you determine whether you're talking to a guy or a girl? I mean, it ought to be easy to make an assumption about what sort of parts people with names like Matchgirl42 or Mr.Flay have, and I'm willing to make a guess about Hottie69XOXOX, but what if you don't have any clues from name or picture?

Following is a poll about user names. If you'd like to play, please read the names, and decide whether you think this person is male or female. If you happen to know the person in question, please choose the "I know this person" option.

I'm going to follow this up later with a similar poll, which will deal with writing style - I'll post a sample, and you tell me what sex you think the author is. But first, the names.

NOTE: All names below are real people, and I know what sex they all are. I have stolen them from their rightful homes on messageboards, so if you frequent the Grey Labyrinth or MafiaScum, these may look familiar to you. Sorry about that. Looking them up is cheating. If you don't know, guess.
