Or something else, perhaps the choices not voiced by someone who presents "their way" and "the alternative", then shows how their way is better, ignoring all of the other alternatives? 1) steampunk - it has that whole post-modern whatever works, whether its new high-tech or old arcane, with the workings exposed to entice those with a mechanical bent ...
2) kemetic unorthodox rat screw - it really only works with a fair number of people, and I've never been comfortable being thusly exposed to cards, shenanigans, and a fair number of people all at the same time - unless I knew all the people well enough to trust them, I suppose
